Enjoy The Great Northwest!
If you live in the area the Red Barn Farm is a great little slice of serenity thats close and easy to get to.
Just off Washington state highway 14 & I-205 its an easy commute from just about anywhere in the Vancouver - Portland area.
If your visiting from out of town, we are just 10 minutes from the airport & 20 from downtown Portland. This area has much to offer.... the great food carts of downtown portland, rivers and lakes galore, the portland zoo not to mention the panoramic views of the Columbia Gorge. The Coast is an easy 2 - 3 hour drive! There are also many hotels nearby!
All students are asked to bring
- a sack lunch (snacks will be provided)
- a medical release form (include any allergies or medications)
- an instrument with all needed accesories (rosin, shoulder rest etc...)
- something to record with (if none is avaiable instructors will provide sound files that can be emailed)
- appropriate clothing for the weather conditions
- a possative atitude and a smiling face :-)
Students are welcome to sample and take home whatever is in season at the farm. Some of which may include: Grapes, Pears, Strawberries, Huckleberries, Carrots, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Potatoes, Green Beans, Cucumbers, Apples, Tomatoes, Radishes and Squash :-)
The goal is for class to start as close to 10AM as possible, so, arriving a little early is a good idea.
A detailed daily schedule will be available as the dates for camp get closer.
If you have any questions please feel free to E-mail the camp director Denice Carter at [email protected] or call her cell 303.859.4268
